Privacy policy

Hosting & database (Supabase, EU)
Game and account data are stored and processed on Supabase in the Frankfurt (EU) region. Only data needed to run the game is collected (sessions, player names, game progress).
AI game master (DeepSeek, China — third-country transfer)
To generate narration, game context and inputs are sent to the DeepSeek API (operated in China). This is a transfer to a third country without an adequacy decision; it is done to perform the service (gameplay). No real names or contact details are sent to DeepSeek.
Analytics (Umami, self-hosted)
We use self-hosted, cookieless Umami analytics. No cookies are set and no personal profiles are built; only aggregated, anonymous usage data is recorded. No cookie banner is therefore required.
Accounts & anonymous sign-in
You can play anonymously. Optionally you can create an account via email (magic link) or Google sign-in; your email address is then stored for authentication.
Photos
The photo feature is currently inactive; no image data is processed or transferred outside the EU.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. Contact info@schnipzl.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
